2018 Sustainability Challenge: Use Natural Cleaners

MARCH CHALLENGE: USE NATURAL CLEANERS

Spring is in the air, and you know what that means...it's time for everyone's favorite activity: spring cleaning! But household cleaners can be toxic. Do you really want to clean your home with something that you aren't supposed to get on your skin or that makes your eyes water with its fumes? And think of where all that nasty cleaner goes once we rinse it down the drain...into our drinking water, rivers, and oceans!

But there are lots of recipes out there for making your own household cleaners with simple ingredients like baking soda, vinegar, alcohol, essential oils, etc. It's cheaper and smells better (usually)! You can also use eco-friendly cleaning tools like cloth rags, biodegradable sponges, wool dryer balls, feather dusters, and more.

Get creative with your spring cleaning this month and let us know your best recipes and tips by using the hashtag #sustychallenge2018 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or commenting below.
